Our trip to Pennsylvania

For two weeks in August, we had a wonderful visit to Pennsylvania. The main reason for going was Melody's (Josh's sister) wedding. But luckily the kids and I were able to go a little early and spend time with everyone. I still love it there just as much as I did before, and it was sad to leave. But we had a lot of fun and are so grateful to everyone that helped us get out there. We have quite a few pictures, so enjoy!

We were so excited to see great grandma and grandpa :)

Aunt Sarah and her boyfriend Zach took us to a really cool amusement park called Knoebles. It is more for kids and more old fashioned. It was a lot of fun. Once the girls warmed up to the rides, they really enjoyed it.

The ball pit was the first thing Alma was brave enough to try :)

There was also swimming there. It was a little cold that day, but they went swimming anyway. Although they weren't quite ready to try the waterslides, they still enjoyed it

Although he couldn't ride the rides, he did enjoy being outside.

This is the Pagoda (not sure if I'm spelling that right). Was supposed to be a restaurant but ended up being like a museum or something. Anyway, they took us to see it while we were there. I thought it was pretty cool.

Next was Melody's bridal shower. Easton was invited too :) We had fun riding go-carts, playing laser tag, and doing lots of other fun stuff

Here we are relaxing at Grandma's house

Playng dolls with grandpa Bruce

Reading books with Uncle David

Painting Lily's (yes, the dog) toe nails :) (in case you're wondering, no she wasn't crazy about the idea)

Grandma Jeanette took us to a really cool park called Lake Tobias Wildlife Park. There were tons of different animals and they also took us on a "safari" ride through the park and we were allowed to feed the animals which came right up to the bus. It was really cool. They had animals in enclosed areas like a zoo, that we walked around to see and they also had some animals in a small "petting zoo" area that we went in with the animals and fed and pet them. We all loved it!! Many, many pictures...
What do you get when you mix a Zebra and a Donkey? a Zedonk! (really, that's what they're called)

The girls feeding the alpaca. That's how close alot of the animals came to the bus! Awesome

Elk

Fallow deer. They had so many of these!

Texas Longhorn

Taking a break at the playground

Feeding the mini horses

The goats were so funny. When we were going into the petting zoo, we asked if we could take the stroller in and the woman at the entrance said "we don't recommend it because the goats will eat it". We were like-What?? Okay...so we went in (without the stroller) and guess what happens? One of the baby goats kept nibbling at saralyn's shirt! and at Grandma's pants! so funny:) needless to say, that woman did know what she was talking about

Lemur

Feeding the goats

Ahh...so cute

Easton thought it was pretty cool too

Bears playing in the water. They had pretty nice habitats for the larger animals, with lots of room to roam.

Tiger...ROAR!

Capybara - Worlds largest rodent

Then Grandma Nancy and Aunt Becca took us on the Straussburg Railroad train ride. It's an old-fashioned train that takes you on a ride through a bit of the countryside. It was fun and relaxing.

We also stopped at a few Amish stores. This Amish buggy was outside one of the stores for people to look in.

More time with grandmas and grandpas

Great Grandma and Grandpa and the kids

The girls were flower girls for the wedding and this is the best picture I could get of them walking down the isle. I wish I would've gotten more pictures of them, but of course, I never had my camera at the right times.

The had a really cool park that we went to a few times while we were there. Here we went with Grandma Jeanette and Grandpa Randy. The girls really enjoyed it :)

Anyway, after all that... we really had an awesome time! Thanks again everyone for the fun and the time that you spent with us! We can't wait to come back again :) We love you all so much.
