Family Home Evening

Last Monday, the girls thought we had a pretty fun Family Home Evening. We were learning about how we are children of God, and how special that makes us. So, for the activity, we made crowns that said "I am a child of royal birth" and we all wrote on each crown, something special about that person. They had a lot of fun with it and they looked so cute we had to take pictures. Mommy and Daddy even got in on the fun :) Anyway, they seemed to learn something from it. And lately (since we started trying to have family home evening every week instead of hit and miss) Alma always gets so excited about it and asks when we are going to have it. By watching her, I am learning how important it really is. Thanks Alma! :)

P.S. Don't you love the blue eye shadow? She is soooo into make up...uh-oh :)

Comforting big sis

A few days ago Alma was throwing a fit about something and started crying. So, Saralyn decided she needed to give her a hug to help her feel better. But she didn't just give her a hug and was done. She actually hugged her until she stopped crying! It was so cute to see her wanting to help her big sister! I thinks she learns a lot from Alma, because Alma often does the same thing for her. Hopefully they don't grow out of that.

Hogle Zoo

Last weekend we wanted to go to Jackson and take the girls to see the elk refuge and ride the sleigh, then go for a hike. But, it decided to snow everywhere we were wanting to go, so we changed our plans. Instead, we took them to Hogle Zoo and it was a lot of fun! It was a little cold, but it was nice that there weren't many people there. We could go anywhere we wanted without having to face the crowd! Anyway the girls really enjoyed it. Here are some fun pictures we took while we were there.

Our camera wasn't fast enough to get really good pictures, but we got a few okay ones and a few blurry ones. We'll let you see, just for fun.

Saralyn was afraid of a few of the animals and we would put her up close to the glass and she would try to push herself away. It was pretty funny. But they both really love animals and it was fun to see their expressions with all the different ones.

That little monkey is really blurry, but he loved cameras. Whenever anyone would put their camera up to take a picture, he would put his face right up there trying to figure out what it was, I guess. Anyway, we had a good time!
